Lanikai Garden Studio "Licensed" - 100 yards to beautiful Lanikai Beach!

Rick & Nini, Thank you for sharing your lovely studio with us, it had everything a person would need for a short or extended stay. It was wonderful being a hop, skip, and jump away from the ocean. We bid a fond farewell to the finest studio on Oahu and one of the best rentals we've ever had. All the details are in order; overs, locks, knobs, cords and drawers. The linens smell oh-so-fresh. The kitchen has all of the comforts of home and the hot plate was a fun discovery.

Our stay with Lanikai Beach Rentals was amazing. The garden studio was exactly as described in the listing. Very clean and comfortable. My stay at the Lanikai Garden Studio was wonderful. It was very private so I could have the glass doors open and hear the birds and the breeze. I felt like I was in my own private garden.

I am usually one that brings my Clorox wipes and wipes everything down, but it was so clean that I felt comfortable right away. I am also not a fan of bugs and did not see a single one, so I was thrilled!!

Everything I needed was there - beach towels and umbrellas and I was set. There was coffee, fruit and some cookies when I got there, so I had some snacks before I could get to the grocery store.

I was in town to spread my Mother’s ashes and have a small memorial on the beach. Nini and Rick gave me a suggestion for the minister and she was wonderful. They know Kailua so well which was very helpful since I have been gone for so long.

Thank you Nini and Rick for everything! I’ll be back with my husband in a few years and look forward to staying here again!

Our stay in the Lanikai Garden Studio was amazing. The studio was sparkling clean and included everything a traveler could need to feel at home. The proximity to the beach can't be beat. Rick and Nini are outstanding hosts!

The Garden Studio in Lanikai is perfect for couples! The studio is in the small and quiet ocean front “village” of Lanikai, and is very private and perfectly-decorated for a romantic getaway. No one walks past the cottage or can see past the lush tropical flowers and privacy fence, so you can leave the blinds and windows completely open to enjoy the tropical breeze, see the tropical plants, and hear the birds singing in the morning.
The decorations are perfect for Hawaii: you feel like you’re living in a local’s cottage, with many shells, paintings, books, and photographs from around Lanikai which creates a very warm and personal environment. There’s even a small hula dancer statue on the kitchen table. We love lounging in the private yard under the garden umbrella.
We enjoy Rick & Nina’s property so much that we stay here every time we visit Oahu! The amenities, especially beach chairs, beach towels, and beach umbrella make our days at the beach much more enjoyable, plus we don’t have to pack as much in our bag or buy beach gear for our visits.
Rick and Nina are the perfect hosts: you have complete privacy, yet they are readily available by phone. There is a large book full of information about the property, places to eat, and things to do.
This side of Oahu is gorgeous and quiet. When you sit on the beach, you have a picture-perfect view of the Mokulua islets (seabird sanctuaries), the turquoise water, palm trees, occasional sand crabs and kayakers. Best of all, you have an unobstructed view of the lushness of Oahu (without high-rise buildings).
Honestly, this place is worth every penny we spend.

When thinking of a place to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, the first place we both thought of going was to return to the Lanikai Garden Studio. We stayed here two weeks and we wished we could have stayed longer. It was our third time staying with the owners Rick and Nini. As always we really enjoyed our time here. They are both so friendly and accommondating. This is a one bedroom studio with all the extras that will make your stay rememberable. It even includes all of the items you need for the beach such as beach chairs, umbrella and coolers. Great location between the big city life of Honolulu and the lay back life of the North Shore. So rent a car so you can enjoy all Oahu has to offer. Lanikai Beach is a short walk across a one-way street and it is one of the nicest beaches on Oahu. What's not to like here in this little slice of paradise.

It was a very relaxing and fun week for us. We appreciate the opportunity to be so close to Lanikai Beach; the beach is like nothing else. Thanks so much for making accommodations for our stay, and thank you for the calendar, we help keep Hawaii and Lanikai in our hearts!

We stayed in Honolulu first. Won’t do that again but would love to stay at this property again. The only surprise was that when the tide comes in your beach is underwater. Other than that, it’s a dream. Loved the place, the neighborhood, and the small, crowded beach. The owners were lovely as well.

This rental really is special. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. I’ve been to Oahu a few times but it was my partner’s first. He’s not too into the commercial part of Waikiki so we were looking for something a little quieter. This place was a perfect choice.

The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive - very attentive without ever being overbearing. The location is just across from Lanikai Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen (and I’ve seen quite a few). I wish I could post pictures to show just how beautiful it was.

The unit is a studio next to the main house. It was very cutely decorated, had a kitchen stocked with all the things you’d need, and a private little garden area that was private and serene. The AC and internet worked great with no issues.

The town of Kailua has a lot of charming boutiques and eateries nearby. There are great hiking trails nearby and you can kayak to the small islands off shore.

All in all, we absolutely loved our stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be a repeat visitor ourselves.

What a wonderful place to travel after a 3-year lockdown. It was our first trip to Hawaii together. We loved it and our hosts Nani and Rick were fantastic.

The place in location was perfect! The home was clean and well-maintained. I could not ask for a better place. The hostess and hostess were extremely accommodating and very nice. I would highly recommend this place! I will book again next time I’m here.

A really pleasant place to stay across from the beautiful beach and swimming. Great places to eat in town
Overall very positive. Oh, the mango tree Is so productive and hosts share the delicious fruit. Great eateries in town. Everything is wonderfully casual. The hosts were very attentive as needed. Honolulu 30 minutes.

The studio is comfortable, provides lots of light and privacy, and has everything you need. It’s the perfect location in Lanikai, with short walks to the beach and the pillbox hike, and a quick drive to Kailua. Rick and Nini are great hosts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space!

This little gem of a vacation rental was even better than we had hoped. Though it is suite-style, there was plenty of room for the two of us. Comfortable bed, nice seating area, functional kitchen, and immaculate throughout. We enjoyed the beautiful lanai for morning coffee and evening drinks while watching the happy little geckos. Lanikai beach is simply indescribably gorgeous, and just a short walk to the beach. We spent most of every day on the powdery sand by the aquamarine water. Breathtaking! The town of Kailua has grown a lot since we were last in the area, but lots of places to buy groceries and go out to dinner. We had dinner at Buzz’s Steakhouse (reservations recommended) and at the Maui Brewing Co., both good meals and friendly staff, and we ordered takeout pizza one night. But most meals I cooked on the hot plate or microwave in the little kitchen. Our hosts Rick and Nini were super nice and very accommodating but never intrusive. Great people. We really didn’t want to leave this place. Hopefully, we’ll return someday soon. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us!

This property is wonderful for many reasons. First, it’s in Lanikai which we learned was a beautiful side of Oahu that is very private and quiet. The property is steps from the beach. We enjoyed going each morning to watch the sunrise and at night for sunsets. It’s easy to access hiking, restaurants, and downtown Kailua. Rick and Nini are very kind and there to make sure we had what we needed. The studio itself has everything you need in the bathroom and kitchen. A private backyard with a table surrounded by bamboo trees to enjoy a little tropical coffee talk, which we did. We just can’t say enough about our stay. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you both!

The Lanikai Garden Studio is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach and to a fun hiking trail, Lanikai Pillbox Hike. This hike has great views of the windward side of Oahu including the Mokulua Islands. The garden studio came with beach towels and chairs for a great morning at Kailua Beach just down the road. Don't forget to stop at nearby Kalapawai Market! The kitchen was well-stocked with coffee, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, etc. The quaint patio with table and chairs was a great place to spot hikers on the Pillbox Trail! Rick and his wife are very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much 🙂
