An Ossipoff classic looking out to the Mokes
Kehaulani Ridge sits near the top of the Lanikai hillside on Oʻahu's windward coast, looking over the rooftops and reef to the twin Mokulua Islands. Vladimir Ossipoff, the mid-century architect famous across Hawaiʻi for houses that open to the trade winds, designed it, and it has since been thoughtfully remodeled.
The living and dining rooms open onto a long covered lanai with a gas grill, an outdoor table and lounge seating, and on the other side a waterfall spills into a garden pond you can hear from inside. Hardwood floors, built-in shelving and an updated kitchen run through the house. Each bedroom looks toward the ocean, and the queen bedroom in the detached cottage uses the full bath in the main house. Lanikai's beach paths are a few minutes' walk downhill, and Kailua Town is about 10 minutes by car.
