All the comforts of home in paradise! Enjoy the casual island charm and comfortable living space of this spacious upstairs 1 bedroom, 1 bath. Relax in your own Hawaiian “treehouse”, surrounded by mature island trees and refreshing trade winds. King bed in the master bedroom. On-site parking is included as well as beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and beach umbrellas.
Just 2.5 miles from Kailua Town which offers several outfitters for all of your ocean activity equipment needs, as well as bicycle rentals, grocery, boutiques, gift shops, farmers market, and a variety of great restaurants.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: NEIGHBORING CONSTRUCTION
As of Tuesday, April 09, 2024, the neighboring construction site update is as follows: The home is completely closed in, with the next portion of the exterior to be painted. The home has been roofed as well. The work has moved inside with continued framing, infrastructure, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and cabinetry. The timeline for completion seems to be 2 - 3 additional months as there are considerable custom fixtures, finishes, landscaping, and finally the fence to be installed between our two properties.
There is a 14' privacy screen around the entire subject construction site.
The construction process is estimated to take approximately one year to complete.
While we aim to provide an enjoyable experience for our guests, it's essential to be aware that this neighboring construction project may lead to unforeseen inconveniences and delays. Regrettably, we cannot guarantee the precise timeline or the extent of its impact during your stay.
Possible impacts may include, but are not limited to:
Noise Disruptions: The construction will involve noisy activities, such as power tool usage, drilling, hammering, heavy machinery operations, crew conversation, and other audible noises. These noises could disrupt your peace and tranquility during your stay.
Dust and Debris: Construction activities often generate dust and debris, potentially affecting the cleanliness and air quality in the vicinity.
We encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns before finalizing your reservation. By acknowledging and accepting this notice, you confirm that you are aware of the potential impacts associated with the neighboring construction project which is to the best of our knowledge.

Hi Rick, now that I'm getting back into the swing of things here in chilly Washington DC, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for such a lovely stay last month. We loved our time at the treehouse and are so grateful to you and your family for your hospitality - we also ran into your wife and daughter during our stay and both were so kind and helpful. My cousin that we were visiting will probably be stationed back on the East Coast this summer, but I'm sure we'll still want to come back even without family nearby - it's hard to beat walking across the street first thing in the morning to take in those sunrises with a cup of coffee! 🙂 Thanks also for the kind message you left us after we checked out. "The treehouse is a real gem"
This house is a treasure. Located at the foot of the most beautiful mango tree, it's beautifully decorated with warm colors and a few gorgeous Hawaiian details. As soon as we stepped in, we felt instantly at home. Everything was super clean and well kept. We went for our ten year wedding anniversary, and I found it perfect for the three of us. We have a one-year-old son who slept on the second bedroom (we didn't want to disrupt his sleeping routines during vacation). Rick and Nini were very accommodating and lent us a bunch of baby gear. They are really good people, very flexible, warm and welcoming. The location is perfect. The ocean is across the street, and the main beach is only three minute walk away. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for a relaxing vacation. I can't wait to go back.
"Lanikai Treehouse--Truly Paradise!"
We stayed in the Lanikai Treehouse for our first family vacation with our 5-month-old daughter, and it was the perfect place for us! We were so fortunate to be able to book this ideal rental. Rick and Nini are such warm and thoughtful hosts. They took great care of us from the time of booking, all the way through checkout, with their kindness and useful recommendations. (We had wonderful meals from Times Supermarket several times during the week!) They welcomed our daughter--despite her crying!--and even offered us a play yard and a high chair, which allowed us to travel with only carry-ons. The Treehouse itself is a dream accommodation right by the most beautiful beaches on Oahu. As soon as we stepped into the bright and airy rental with its well-appointed amenities and island-inspired decor, we felt so relaxed and at home. Rick and Nini really thought of everything we could possibly need, from the well-stocked kitchenette to beach gear--including great beach reads! Most of all, we loved the breeze flowing through the large open windows, the sound of night rain, being surrounded by mango and plumeria trees, and waking up to the song of birds. We've been telling friends and family about this gem. Thank you, Rick and Nini, for a heavenly stay!
"Treehouse is ALWAYS awesome!"
The second stay at the Lanikai Treehouse (2/20-3/20) just completed!!! I stayed here last year and had such an awesome time, that I had to return this year as well. The Treehouse is beautifully decorated, tons of amenities(love my welcome basket every year), a very safe & quiet neighborhood, beautiful beach across the street, stunning sunrises, Pillbox Trail behind the house, Kailua a skip & a hop to town and tons of other places to discover all over O’ahu. Rick & Nini are first class hosts and are very warm, friendly & extremely helpful with any concerns & questions!!!! Don’t miss out on these accommodations. You want to be disappointed, I promise!!!!
